What is less popularly recognized by the masses is that Astrology is actually often more than one sign- there’s your “Big 3” (Sun, Moon, and Ascendant or Rising), your big 6 (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter), traditional planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn), and then there’s also Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and other Asteroids, calculated points and applying aspects, etc.

Astrology and free will go hand in hand-

there is nuance in how you choose to play the cards you are dealt in life.

One of my favorite analogies to use is that Astrology is a lot like knowing your travel itinerary or like having a map for when you’re going hiking:

For example, if you are traveling and plan to visit New York City, there are so many things you can do! You can explore what New York City is known for, like traveling to Lady Liberty, riding the subway, getting a chopped cheese from one of the local bodegas, pronounce “Houston” like “hows-tonne” (iykyk); or, you could come to NYC and decide to not do any of that and just stay with your family and not go out for the duration of your stay. Ultimately, you are coming to NYC- what you choose to do while you’re here is up to you.

Let’s take hiking with a map for another example: sure, you can have a map that tells you the elevation of different areas, show you where lakes and rivers are, where the forrest is thick or where animals are likely to be- but throw in some other factors like: are you hiking by yourself? Are you hiking with a friend? Is this friend new to hiking or are they an experienced hiker? Is this hiking trip a team bonding retreat with your coworkers or a romantic excursion with your date? So many factors affect how you use the map to embark on your hike- astrology is the map and your free will is how you decide to use the astrology information you are given.
